ROSSO JOINS SVR ADVISORY BOARD

Denver, CO–Music and tech industry veteran Wayne Rosso has joined Groove Science Studios, creators of the music VR platform Soundscape, as Head of Corporate Development, it was announced today. Mr. Rosso’s duties will include sourcing and negotiating strategic partnerships, artist acquisition, and outside capital equity.

Mr. Rosso spent several decades heading his own PR firm in both Los Angeles and New York, Clients included such luminaries as the Bee Gees, Melissa Etheridge, Phillip Glass, Beach Boys, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Bette Midler, Chaka Khan, New Kids on the Block, and Harry Connick Jr. among many others. His many corporate clients included Bertelsmann Music Group, CBS Records, Billboard Publications, Island Records, Sony Records, Arista Records, Motown Records, Jazz at Lincoln Center, MCA Records, Westwood One (Infinity Broadcasting), CityInteractive (Canada’s CHUM Television), and AT&T’s a2b music.

Mr. Rosso has also held several high profile positions in one of the most outspoken, controversial and pioneering figures in the world of digital media.  Most notably, he served as President of Grokster, During his tenure there, he built Grokster into one of the world’s most popular file-sharing networks and an internationally recognized brand name. and went on to found Mashboxx, the first open file sharing application to be authorized by the major recording labels. This initiated a sea change in the attitude of major content owners toward the p2p world, marking a willingness to work with the peer-to-peer platforms and their millions of users.

Mr. Rosso was named as one of New Media Age Magazine’s Top 50 Key Players in the interactive media industry and has been featured in major international media outlets such as Newsweek, Forbes, Fortune, CNN, Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, The New York Times, CNET, NPR and CBS News’ “60 Minutes”.

He has also served as Vice President of Business affairs at video game streaming service Vortex and came to Groove Sound Studios from BrightCOIN, a ground-breaking digital securities platform, where he served as Senior Vice President and oversaw compliance, partnerships, sales and marketing.
